With 11 games left on the schedule and a great start to conference play, the Lady Devils are looking strong!
Howard played a pivotal role in leading South Lenoir to a conference championship and a 15-6 season, including an impressive 11-1 record in conference play. Throughout the season, she accumulated 78 service points, 244 kills, and a 3.1 kills per set ratio.
“We are competing and learning through tough knocks. We're 4-3-1 so far with another solid 3A opponent Wednesday at First Flight in Kitty Hawk," said GC Coach Tim Medlin.
Lenoir Community College (16-10) showcased their offensive prowess in an 11-4 triumph over the William Peace University JV squad on Tuesday.
"We practice like we play," Hallie Fowler said. "We work hard in practice so we can play well in the games."
"I didn't realize it until after the game," Hardy said about the 17 K’s. "I was just locked in trying to get a win for the team."
Hawk’s Maddie Rouse homers in her second straight game.
"With the last match vs North Johnston on their minds, our guys came out today with a fire. Our 3-6 seeds really turned the tide today and closed out matches that we gave up last time we played NJ,” Hawks coach Scott Alston said.

Lancers won the first game but dropped the next two against the Bobcats
Garrett Byrd threw a complete game, giving up only one hit, one walk, and ten strikeouts. Byrd went 3-4 at the plate with three RBI and a home run to deep left-center field.
Rams Riley Radford had him a night. The freshman picked up the win on the mound, ripped a triple and homer at the plate.
"MG did a great job keeping their batters at bay. She threw very well, commanded the zone, and got us a ton of ground balls," South Lenoir Madison Harvey praised her senior Mary Grace Beyer.
Landon Tyndall led the Blue Devils on the mound pitching a one-hitter.
Maddie Rouse jump started the Hawks with a 2-run HR in the first inning.
North Lenoir, South Lenoir, Greene Central, APA, and Bethel all were in action
