Lancers Dominate Pacers in an 11-4 Victory

Lenoir Community College (16-10) showcased their offensive prowess in an 11-4 triumph over the William Peace University JV squad on Tuesday.

The Lancers demonstrated impressive skill in all aspects of the game, with fiery bats, a flawless defense, and solid pitching. Accumulating 11 runs on 12 hits, Lenoir's hitters proved too much for the Pacers to handle.

Kevin Jones nearly achieved the cycle, going 3-4 at the plate with a triple, double, and a walk. Jones also contributed three runs and a stolen base to the Lancers' cause.

Tanner Cannon had a standout performance, going 2-4 with a towering home run over the trees in left field, bringing in three RBIs. Shawn Gerad, coming off the bench in the bottom of the 7th, seized his opportunity and launched a home run, extending Lenoir's lead to six runs.

Lenoir's pitching staff featured several young talents, including Brandon Warren, Carson Krasula—who earned the win—Thomas Gurr, Dawson Ables, Colin Wyant, and Jarrett Hall.

The Lancers now look ahead to a road trip to Virginia, where they will face Richard Bland College (5-15). The teams split the first two games in Kinston, setting the stage for an exciting rematch.

Lenoir returns home on Saturday for a doubleheader against Richard Bland College, with the first game starting at 12:00 p.m.
