Hawks cruise to a 10-0 win over North Pitt
LA GRANGE, N.C. – The North Lenoir Lady Hawks (6-1) continued their winning ways with a dominant performance against the North Pitt Panthers, amassing 13 hits in the contest.
The Lady Hawks' offense was on fire, with five players contributing multiple hits in the game. Madilyn Rouse, Hallie Fowler, Skylar Harrison, Lakyn Whitley, and Alyssa Hatcher led the charge, ensuring that the Panthers' defense had no respite throughout the matchup.
Rouse and Fowler demonstrated their prowess at the plate, connecting with key hits and keeping the North Lenoir offense rolling. The Hawk duo also combined for a 5-inning, 3-hit shutout.
"We practice like we play," Fowler said. "We work hard in practice so we can play well in the games."
Lakyn Whitley and Hatcher also stepped up, adding to the Lady Hawks' hit parade and showcasing the depth of their lineup. Overall, Hawks coach Bobby Hatcher was pleased with his laides tonight.
"The top of the lineup did a really nice job getting on base and hitting the ball," according to coach Bobby Hatcher. "The pitchers pitched the ball really well.
The Lady Hawks' win solidifies their status as a formidable team in their league, with a 6-1 record that speaks to their consistency and skill on the field.
With their offensive firepower and strong team chemistry, the Lady Hawks have established themselves as a team to watch as the season progresses. The Lady Hawks will face off against one of the top teams in the conference, East Duplin (5-3, 2-0), this Friday on the road.
