What the numbers show

Volume and production: Eaton has averaged 7.5 yards per pass attempt and 14.9 yards per completion in eight reported games. His 1,432 passing yards plus 212 rushing yards represent 1,644 combined passing and rushing yards (205.5 per game), not traditional all-purpose yards.

Four-game split: Eaton’s first four reported games produced 916 passing yards (229.0 per game), compared with 516 yards (129.0 per game) in the most recent four. His 433-yard, six-touchdown performance against White Oak remains the largest passing-yardage game in the eight-game sample. These splits describe the reported results without adjusting for opponents or game situations.

Ball security: The current season line credits 14 passing touchdowns and 11 interceptions, a 7.3% passing-touchdown rate and 5.8% interception rate per reported pass attempt. These are descriptive, not opponent-adjusted estimates.

October 2 reporting difference

The October 8 Neuse News Sports import and the current MaxPreps box score list Eaton at 14-of-31 for 149 passing yards, 1 TD, 2 INT against Ayden-Grifton. An earlier publicly indexed MaxPreps summary listed 14-of-31 for 148 yards; the current recap, rechecked October 20, now shows 149 yards and agrees with the box score. However, the original Neuse News Sports game story still reports 16-of-28 for 131 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. The story also gives 23 rushing yards on three carries, compared with 38 yards on seven carries in MaxPreps. Those Neuse News Sports/MaxPreps differences remain unresolved. The season cards and game log use the current eight-game MaxPreps snapshot; the original reporting is retained and disclosed.
