J.H. Rose, Northside-Jacksonville and Hoggard remain the top three after Week 9, but a series of conference results reshaped the rest of the rankings.

Week 9 major movers

Jacksonville climbs to No. 4 after beating South Central 62-30, while Hunt falls three spots to No. 7 following a 45-0 loss to Northern Nash. New Bern moves four positions to No. 13 after defeating D.H. Conley 40-35.

North Pitt makes the biggest jump, rising 26 spots to No. 31 after a 28-7 victory over Eastern Wayne. Havelock climbs seven places after routing Swansboro 53-19; Pender rises 20 positions after beating South Lenoir 60-14; and South Brunswick jumps 14 spots after edging South Columbus 20-18.

Wayne Christian rises seven spots after its 32-31 win over Ravenscroft, while Greene Central moves to No. 23 after its second consecutive 49-point performance.
