Kinston native and local sports official Leo Lockhart has been recognized with the prestigious NCADA Official of Excellence Award, celebrating a remarkable 27-year career in officiating.
Blake Crawford further bolstered the Hawks’ offense with a home run in the fourth inning, his fourth of the season in just ten games. Crawford credited his success to his approach at the plate:”I’m just relaxed at the plate, waiting for a good pitch to hit backside.”
“Our singles lineup played great today. We knew we’d have a tough challenge with GC. Their tradition and program speaks for itself,” Hawks coach Scott Alston.
“I just wanted to come through for the team,” Kinston’s Derrian Wilson said. “I felt a little pressure with bases being loaded and needing two outs but I somehow managed to stay calm.”
