North Lenoir junior Angel Lee stole the spotlight at the school’s first-ever all-girls wrestling match, going 3-0 with three pins while emerging as a leader and driving force behind the Hawks’ growing girls wrestling program.
Radford pitched a complete-game gem, striking out 13 Hawks, allowing just four hits, and surrendering five runs—only one earned—in seven gritty innings. At one point, Radford retired 14 consecutive North Lenoir batters, silencing the Hawks’ bats until a furious rally in the sixth inning.
Tuesday’s opening round of the NNS playoffs will see NNS teams like Kinston, Greene Central, and North Lenoir set the stage for high-stakes, seeding-driven matchups.

It went down in the Swamp last night. North Lenoir hosted South Lenoir and it lived up to expectations. Matthew Rhodes and Jackson Jenkins went toe to toe on the mound. Hawks came out victorious 9-7.
In a showcase of skill and teamwork, North Lenoir High School’s tennis team secured a 7-2 win. The win was also coach Scott Alston 100th career win in boys tennis.
North Lenoir’s Lady Hawks clinched a 40-30 victory over Neuse Charter, with a standout defensive display and Shamaya Lynch leading the scoring, setting the stage for an eagerly awaited showdown with Greene Central.
