The North Lenoir Hawks narrowly defeated the East Duplin Panthers with a dramatic final score of 16-15. This victory came after a tense game where East Duplin seized the lead 15-14 in the last inning, setting the stage for a nail-biting comeback by North Lenoir. This win is particularly notable as it marks North Lenoir’s first victory over East Duplin since records have been kept on MaxPreps since 2007, breaking a four-game losing streak against the Panthers.
