Neuse News Sports Female Athlete of The Week

Last week’s Neuse News Sports Female Athlete of The Week is Maddie Rouse. Rouse is currently an Junior on the (6-1) North Lenoir Softball team. In a span of 3 games Rouse went 7 for 8, 5 Runs, 8 RBIs, 2 2B, 3 HR (1 grand slam). Not only has she killed it at the plate, Rouse also is nice on the mound. When asked about her recent play Rouse replied with confidence but humbly, “I think my performance lately has been good, I think there is always room for improvement”.
