GCMS Girls' Volleyball Teams Sweep Wellcome Middle

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Greene Central Middle School (GCMS) girls' volleyball teams started their season on a high note, defeating Wellcome Middle School in both A and B team matches on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
A Team Dominates
The A Team of GCMS showcased their skills right from the first set, winning 25-14. They continued their momentum into the second set, sealing the victory with a 25-20 win.
B Team Follows Suit
Not to be outdone, the B Team also displayed a strong performance. They dominated the first set with a 25-11 win and closed out the match with a 25-10 victory in the second set.
Top Performers
Mary Faith led the charge for GCMS with an impressive 16 service aces. Anna Grace Tilghman followed closely with 12 service aces, while Kambry Twiddy contributed 8 service aces. Imani Williams added 4 kills to the team's overall performance.

The Rams are now 1-0 on the season and look to continue their winning streak at home against Bethel on Monday.
