Reflecting on the overall match, he added, "Pretty good day overall, but still have some work to do to be able to compete for a state championship! The team is full of great guys and very team-oriented."
J. Allen Smith was equally pleased with his performance, saying, "I played great today; I was firing on all cylinders." When asked about his teammates, Smith commented, "I think they are playing pretty good. We definitely have improved a lot during the offseason. Just looking forward to the rest of the season."
The Patriots will now turn their focus to their next match against Rocky Mount Academy on Tuesday, March 21st. With the momentum from their early-season success, APA hopes to continue their winning ways and make a strong run for the state championship.
