Rams win their seventh straight game

SNOW HILL -   Braden Burress and the Rams take care of business versus Ayden-Grifton 10-0 in six innings. The Rams extended their hot streak to seven wins in a row.

Burress was on the bump for Greene Central, and the Chargers couldn't do much with him. Burress went all six innings with eight strikeouts while only giving up three hits.

“It felt good,” Burress said. “My defense made a lot of really good plays to help me.”

The second inning was when the Rams would explode putting up six runs. Greene Central led the entire ball game. The Rams have not given up a run in conference play so far. 

Greene Central was on fire at the plate, racking up 11 hits. The Rams had four different players with two hits. Freshman Riley Radford led Greene Central in RBIs with four. The Rams only struck out four times as well. 

“Anytime you can win a baseball game it's a good day,” Rams coach Ben Brann said. “Riley is special, and I am super excited for his future.”

Greene Central (9-3) will be back in action for a big-time conference series versus the Washington Pam Pack (5-4).
