Lady Hawks Storm Back to Secure a Thrilling Win

Smithfield, NC – The Lady Hawks staged an impressive comeback to defeat Neuse Charter 64-54, overcoming a 10-point deficit for most of the game with a strong fourth-quarter performance.

Initially leading in the first quarter, the Lady Hawks soon found themselves trailing, with Neuse Charter ahead 32-22 at halftime. Kristina Mewborn’s 12 points kept the Lady Hawks in the game during this challenging phase.

In the second half, Shamaya Lynch scored an impressive 28 of her 31 points, driving the team’s comeback. The Lady Hawks’ defense, strengthened by strategic changes from Head Coach Howard Wooley, played a crucial role in their recovery, especially in the fourth quarter.
