Kinston High to Host 15-Team Girls Basketball Jamboree Nov. 7: Full Schedule and Admission
KINSTON - Kinston High School will welcome 15 girls basketball teams for a full day of preseason competition Saturday, Nov. 7, when it hosts the 2026 Kinston High School Girls Basketball Jamboree.
The event features 22 matchups on two courts at Kinston High School, 2601 N. Queen St. The first games tip off at 8 a.m., and the final sessions are scheduled to finish at 5:15 p.m.
Kinston prepares for another season
Coach Chris Bradshaw’s Vikings enter the 2026-27 season following a 23-2 campaign that included a 10-0 conference record. Kinston has gone 44-6 over the past two seasons, and the jamboree offers an early look at the team’s returning players and new contributors.
Kinston has three matchups on Court 1: South Central at 10:30 a.m., Southwest Edgecombe at 1:10 p.m. and Havelock at 3:40 p.m.
North Lenoir and Southern Wayne are also among the area programs scheduled to compete. North Lenoir opens against John Paul at 8 a.m., meets Southern Wayne at 9:40 a.m. and finishes against D.H. Conley at 1:10 p.m. Southern Wayne is scheduled to face North Lenoir, Southwest Onslow and Martin County.
The participating teams are Kinston, North Lenoir, Southern Wayne, Havelock, South Central, White Oak, New Hanover, Southwest Edgecombe, John Paul, West Craven, Pamlico, Southwest Onslow, North Pitt, Martin County and D.H. Conley.

Admission, game format and location
Admission is $20 for an all-day pass and $10 for children ages 10 and under. Concessions will be available. No outside food or coolers are permitted, and water will not be provided for teams.
Each matchup consists of two 18-minute running-clock halves with one timeout per half. Teams are asked to check in at least 20 minutes before their first scheduled game.
