Vikings Dominated East Duplin
Kinston Vikings gets back on the winning side against East Duplin 66-26
The Vikings took their anger out on East Duplin after their tuff loss versus the New Hanover Wildcats this past Saturday.
The Vikings went on a 6-0 run to start the game causing East Duplin head coach to call a full timeout. The Vikings ended the first quarter leading 22-2.
The guards of Kinston made East Duplin play into their hands causing turnover after turnover and leading to steals and fast break layups. The Vikings led at halftime 39-11.
Senior Guard Khalid Sanders led the Vikings in scoring with 12 points but Tyreek copper added 8 points, Isiah Parson also added 8 points & DJ Myers had 8 points.
Coach Tyndall said We were able to create a lead going into the half with high energy and active defense so at the half we wanted to challenge them to continue to play hard and pay attention to detail and play Kinston basketball.
Kinston moves to 15-4 and 8-0 in the conference after beating the East Duplin Panthers with a final score of 66-26 while the Panthers move to 2-15 and 1-7 in the conference.
