South Lenoir Softball Jamboree to Support Alumna Battling Cancer

The South Lenoir High School community is uniting to support alumna Carly Humphrey in her battle against Stage IV bile duct cancer. A special softball jamboree is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Barnet Park, located at 3613 Sand Clay Road in Kinston. The event begins at 9 a.m., featuring the Lady Devils Softball team alongside visiting teams from Hoggard, Swansboro, Bethel, Richlands, Ayden-Grifton, and Croatan.

Admission to the jamboree is free, with donations encouraged. All proceeds will directly assist Carly with her medical treatments. In case of inclement weather, organizers plan to reschedule the event during a home game later in the year.

This event exemplifies the unwavering Blue Devil pride and community spirit, bringing together local teams and supporters to aid a cherished member in her time of need.
