Arendell Parrott Academy (5-2) AVG GRADE: 90

Trey Scott- Parrott is assembling another impressive season despite losing key players from last year, such as Ashton Brinson, Paxton Riley, and Thomas Grady. The Patriots have a bye this week to prepare for one of the state's top teams, Wayne Christian. My Grade: 89
Ryan Pittman-
It is always tough to defend a state championship. APA win against JPII helped with momentum going into playoffs. My Grade: 93
Chance Scott- The Patriots had a really tough non conference playing some 11 man football and still found themselves at 5-2 with a win over JP2. My Grade: 90
Kymonte Roberts-
APA it is hard to compare private and public schools, plus an 8-man team to an 11-man team but APA is playing some good football right now. My Grade: 90
Bryce Gearman-
APA has an explosive offense. I believe they can make a run for back to back state championships. Keep feeding Solomon! My Grade: 88

Greene Central (4-4) AVG GRADE: 84

Trey Scott- Jay Wilson's defense is phenomenal and makes plays. This team has really turned the season around after a three-game losing streak earlier on. If they can consistently find ways to score and secure the ball, they have the potential to be a good team. My Grade: 83
Ryan Pittman-
Lot of promise before season. Hit some speed bumps. Currently trending in the right direction in 2nd half of season. My Grade: 87
Chance Scott-
The Rams have turned the season around. GC started 1-3 and have went 3-1 in the conference so far. The Rams are currently on a 2 game winning streak. My Grade: 80
Kymonte Roberts-
I don’t think GC is the best team in our coverage area. I think their conference is a little easier but James Ballard is a dog. My Grade: 93
Bryce Gearman-
Some early hiccups but turned it around and have won the games needed so far in conference play. Another playoff run? My Grade: 79

Kinston (3-5) AVG GRADE: 80

Trey Scott- There's no doubt Kinston is in the toughest conference in the state, but the last three losses have been very concerning to me, with a shocking average of 57 points surrendered per game. I honestly think the inexperience of this team is starting to show. Still, I love their spread-style offense. My Grade: 81
Ryan Pittman-
Mediocre season. Have bright spots on offense. Needed a better non-conference to offset tough conference schedule for playoffs. My Grade: 80
Chance Scott-
Kinston has some nice wins but the last three weeks have been really tough on the Vikings. The playoffs are still in the cards for the Vikings if they can handle business. My Grade: 75
Kymonte Roberts- Kinston are more than capable of winning games, they are just in a tough conference but still a very young and dangerous team. My Grade: 93
Bryce Gearman-
Kinston has exceeded expectations and can win a playoff game or two, and have got a good look at the future in Tyreek Copper My Grade: 72

North Lenoir (1-6) AVG GRADE: 68

Trey Scott- I can’t lie, I expected more out of this team. Malik Fuller is great but besides Mike Jones and Petey Wiggins the defense is really bad. North Lenoir has to put their best 11 athletes on the field at ALL TIMES.
My Grade: 69
Ryan Pittman-
New coach and new system makes this year difficult for any team. Not so much a rebuild rather than a rebranding. My Grade: 70
Chance Scott-
The Hawks have some true weapons but haven’t seemed to put all the pieces together. Coach Dale still has some big games left with SL and Kinston. My Grade: 70
Kymonte Roberts-
North Lenoir has won one game but other than their one win against (1-6) East Carteret not much has gone right. This is not a good football team. My Grade: 65
Bryce Gearman-
The Hawks are a one dimensional offense, with a lack of play makers on the defensive side of the ball. My Grade: 65

South Lenoir (1-6) AVG GRADE: 67

Trey Scott- The Blue Devils have showed some potential. They have a lot to figure out with a lot of time to do it. I believe keeping this group together can lead to a good ball club in 1-2 years. My Grade: 70
Ryan Pittman-
South Lenoir show signs of promising football in some games. Young team. 2-3 years away from being prominent. My Grade: 65
Chance Scott-
The Blue Devils are still really young at most positions. Tough season having to pull a lot of guys up from the JV squad. My Grade: 70
Kymonte Roberts-
Been a very tough year for the Blue Devils with their only win coming against Jones Senior but they do have a big game coming up soon against North Lenoir. My Grade: 65
Bryce Gearman-
Young offense and young team overall with a bright future, have shown that so far with some missed assignments and penalties. My Grade: 65

Bethel Christian Academy (0-3) AVG GRADE: 65

Trey Scott- It is great that football is back for the Trojans, however with already missing a whole season last year, not starting the season until mid September put this team in a hole that they will not be able to get out of this season unfortunately. My Grade: 63
Ryan Pittman-
Despite 0-3 record; this is a team that missed all of last season and part of this one. Tough on a program and kids. One win this season would be huge for the program. My Grade: 75
Chance Scott-
The Trojans just don’t have the experience in games like all the other schools. My Grade: 65
Kymonte Roberts-
This is Bethel’s first year back with the football program and they are young and still has a lot to learn. My Grade: 61
Bryce Gearman-
Lack of an offense and can’t put many points on the board. My Grade: 61

Jones Senior (0-7) AVG GRADE: 61

Trey Scott- Hard to change culture and improve talent in just only one season. However, Jones Senoir needs to start showing a little more promise for the future. My Grade: 63
Ryan Pittman-
Like NL always difficult for first year coaches rebuilding programs. Will need to add depth for future years to come. My Grade: 60
Chance Scott-
The Trojans have struggled all year long on both side of the balls but they are really young.
My Grade: 60
Kymonte Roberts-
Jones Senior is not a good football team right now on either side of the ball. My Grade: 60
Bryce Gearman-
Young team with a young head coach, lack the offensive fire power but have talent on the defensive side of the ball My Grade: 61
