Lenoir Community College baseball has been rolling through the early part of the season, improving to 9-4 after a strong weekend series against Fayetteville Tech and a midweek victory over Barton College JV. The Lancers' offense has been firing on all cylinders, led by standout freshman Aiden Taylor, who is hitting .526 with 10 doubles, 23 RBIs, and five runs through 43 plate appearances.

In their latest stretch of games, Lenoir showcased their offensive depth, defensive stability, and strong pitching performances to secure key wins.

Weekend Recap vs. Fayetteville Tech

Saturday: Lenoir Community College defeated Fayetteville Tech 14-7, with Aiden Taylor leading the way with a four-hit, five-RBI performance. The Lancers pounded out 12 hits, including a five-run eighth inning that put the game out of reach. Ryan Ange picked up the win, allowing just two earned runs over five innings while striking out five.

Sunday (Game 1): Lenoir Community College edged out Fayetteville Tech 6-5, breaking a 5-5 tie in the eighth inning on a fielder’s choice that brought home the winning run. The Lancers' ability to manufacture runs and play small ball proved crucial in the tight contest. Nick Widener earned the win with two innings of relief, and Brennan Moran led the offense with two hits.

Sunday (Game 2): In the final game of the series, Fayetteville Tech flipped the script and took a 17-7 victory over Lenoir in a high-scoring affair. The Lancers struck first but struggled to slow down the Trojans' bats, surrendering an eight-run first inning. Despite the loss, Riley Williams collected two hits, and Andres Cortes and Aiden Taylor each drove in two runs.

Midweek Comeback vs. Barton College JV

Lenoir Community College bounced back in a big way on Wednesday, rallying to defeat Barton College JV 11-7 after overcoming a four-run deficit. The Lancers broke the game open in the third inning with a six-run outburst, highlighted by Taylor’s two-run double. Landon Redford earned the win in relief, while Taylor, Anderson Clucas, and Schumata Brown each collected two hits.
