LCC wins the first round against Patrick & Henry CC

The Lenoir Community College Lancers basketball team traveled this evening to Patrick & Henry CC to play the Patriots in the opening round of the Region Tournament and did not disappoint! 

The game was down to the final seconds, and the Lancers were able to pull off the win with a final score of 79-76. 

Quantavis McKinney reached his 1,000-point mark in the game, scoring 36 points; Savaughn George scored 16; and Caleb Hymon scored 13 points. It was a big night for the team, for sure! 

The Lancers will travel to Cape Fear CC to play Bryant & Stratton College on Friday at 5:00 p.m. for the second round.
