La Grange native Kenzie Carson is making waves once again at the Little League World Series in Greenville. Representing Team North Carolina, Carson has proven herself to be a versatile and invaluable player, contributing both at the plate and on the mound.
Team North Carolina secured their spot in the World Series by dominating the regional tournament, outscoring their opponents 51-0 in a perfect 3-0 run. This followed an equally impressive state championship performance, where they went 3-0 and outscored their opponents 36-1. In a notable highlight, Carson and her team defeated Rowan County 6-1, a squad that went on to win the Southeast Regional.
Kenzie Carson, wearing jersey number 14, has been a standout player, taking on roles as a pitcher, first baseman, and third baseman. In their opening game of the World Series last night, Team North Carolina faced off against the Asia-Pacific region and delivered a commanding 10-0 victory.
