Kinston native develops sports performance drink "DRNX"

Kinston native Malcolm Holmes teamed up with his friend Jermaine Jackson, former NBA player and university of Detroit Hall of famer, to create a sports performance drink called “DRNX’. The product currently is being sold in Charlotte area with Charlotte Hornets star Lamelo Ball as the cover sponsor.

DRNX has four different flavors that gives you an refreshing taste but also provides the athlete with all of the fuel needed to compete. The product contains six adaptogens, three antioxidants, two electrolytes, eight vitamins and minerals.

The product’s website “www.drinkdrnx.com” gives description of the formula.

“Enter DRNX- Adaptogenic Waters. DRNX is a clean label, sugar free, performance oriented beverage. Lively, refreshing and finishing clean, DRNX offers true hydration, a vitamin and mineral blend specifically geared towards athletic performance, and an adaptogenic blend unique in the market.”

DRNX is currently in the talks with Piggly Wiggly to sell the DRNX in the our local area and looks to hit the shelfs this month in March. Holmes also is introducing healthy version of chips with one particular bag called “Melo Munchies” named after Hornet’s Lamelo Ball as well.
