Kaylee Kennedy is a senior middle hitter with a commanding presence on the court for North Lenoir the past four years, Kennedy has now set her sights on a new challenge: playing for the Pitt Community College Bulldogs. Her commitment comes on the heels of an special season for North Lenoir, which boasted a remarkable 21-2 record and clinched the conference championship.

Kennedy's impact on the team's success is undeniable. With a blend of skill, determination, and leadership, she has become a pivotal figure in the team's dynamics. Her academic prowess is equally impressive, boasting a stellar 4.5 GPA. Coach Heather Carson lauds Kennedy as a "Role Model," emphasizing her influence on younger players who look up to her both on and off the court.

"I am very excited. It is obviously a great opportunity. I'm ready to see where it takes me and the accomplishments I can make," Kennedy expressed, her eyes alight with the promise of future victories and challenges.

Kennedy's journey in volleyball began in her freshman year, a time when her passion for the sport ignited. "I really fell in love with volleyball my freshman year. I realized it was something I was really passionate about. If I wanted to reach my goals, I had to work to get it," she reflected, underscoring the dedication and hard work that have been her constant companions on this journey.

Behind every great athlete is a support system that fuels their drive, and for Kennedy, this is epitomized by her family. "My mom (Amy Davis) is my biggest supporter, driving hours and hours for tournaments. Her taking me there and always being there for me... I wouldn't be here now without her or the rest of my family," Kennedy shared, her gratitude resonating with every word.

In a heartfelt acknowledgment, she added, "I want to thank my family, my mom, my dad, my stepdad, my granddad, my coaches who have taught me everything, and my friends/teammates."

Coach Carson's praise for Kennedy is effusive. "Kaylee is a hard worker, and she will do whatever you ask of her. She wants to help make her team successful," she said, highlighting Kennedy's team-first mentality and relentless work ethic.

As Kennedy prepares to take her talents to Pitt Community College, she leaves behind a legacy at North Lenoir that will inspire future generations. Her journey is a testament to the power of passion, hard work, and the unyielding support of loved ones.
