Frink's Boyette throws no-hitter against Rochelle

The Frink Cavaliers continued their strong start to the season with a dominant 13-2 victory over Rochelle Middle on Wednesday evening. The win takes the Cavs to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play, putting them in a great position early on in the season.

The standout performer of the game was seventh-grader Daniel Boyette, who threw a no-hitter while also leading the team in batting. Boyette recorded an impressive 12 strikeouts and kept the Rochelle Middle batters at bay throughout the game. His efforts were not limited to the mound, as he went 2-2 at the plate with a couple of RBIs to help secure the win for his team.

The Frink Cavaliers’ pitching has been outstanding so far this season, and Boyette’s performance only adds to their impressive record. Coach Chad Kearny praised Boyette’s performance, saying, “Daniel bounced back today from his first outing. He got ahead early in his counts, and his off-speed pitches worked well. His fastball was located well too, so it was great to see him bounce back.”

The Frink Cavaliers’ next game is on Monday, where they will face their cross-county rivals Contentna Savannah at home.
