Get ready for an action-packed weekend at Grainger Stadium as the Downeast Wood Ducks host the East Carolina Tribe Invitational AAU baseball tournament on this Saturday, March 25th. The event features the 13u Tribe Navy and 14u Tribe Orange teams, showcasing the local talent in a series of exciting matchups.
The stadium opens its gates at 11 am, with the first game scheduled for 11:30 am as Tribe Navy takes on the Cowboys 13u. The Cowboys are a talented team composed of local kids from Greene Central, Parrot Academy, Rose, Hope, Ayden Grifton, AG Cox, and more, all invited to participate in this invitational.
Following the initial game, Tribe Orange will face off against the Cowboys 14U at 1:45 p.m. AB Daughety will be a player to watch as he starts as the pitcher for the Cowboys in the first game and then joins Tribe Orange to play first base in the second game.
Additionally, Tribe Navy is set to play Christ Covenant Spartans Middle School, while Tribe Orange is slated to compete against the Winterville Knights 14U. Baseball enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that the Tribe will host another tournament at Grainger Stadium on April 29th.
