Lancers Win Again, Improve to 2-0

The Lenoir Community College Lancers secured a three-set victory over Cleveland Community College Yetis at Coach Bobby Dawson Court, winning 26-16, 25-20, 25-22. With this win, the Lancers improve to a 2-0 record for the season.
The team’s victory follows an earlier triumph over Central Carolina on Aug. 17. Jenna Corwin led the Lancers in the latest match with 8 serving points, 9 kills, and 7 digs. Mckenzee Moore, Holly Cannon, and Haylie Verme also made significant contributions.
LCC athletic director, Shelly Barnes, wanted to give special recognition to the individuals running the scores table: Bobby and Susan Nobles, Kathryn Waits, and Rick Whaley, who were lauded as “the best in the Region hands down.” The Cosmetology and Next Gen Clubs were also commended for their work at the concessions, along with Lauren Gaither, the Administrator of the games.
The Lancers will look to continue their undefeated start to the season as they travel to play Sandhills Community College on Aug. 22.
