LA GRANGE — Reagan Bumgarner delivered a statement performance Monday afternoon, powering the Woodington Raiders to a dominant 17-0 win over CSS with seven RBIs on four hits, including an inside-the-park home run.

Bumgarner drove in runs in nearly every way possible—singling in two during the first, scoring one more with a base hit in the third, driving home two with a double in the fourth, and capping her afternoon with a three-run inside-the-park homer that helped highlight a 10-run third inning.

Woodington (2-1) exploded offensively in the third frame. Alongside Bumgarner’s production, Madilyn Parker added an RBI groundout, Kassidy Simmons chipped in a run-scoring single, and Lyndsay Philyaw, Blaire Howard, and Madilyn all tacked on runs as part of the massive rally. The Raiders also took advantage of a CSS error and aggressive baserunning to pile on the runs.

Philyaw was sharp in the circle, tossing three no-hit innings while striking out five and walking one. Bumgarner then stepped in to close it out, pitching a clean fourth inning with one strikeout.

Bumgarner wasn’t the only Raider swinging a hot bat—Blaire Howard and Chesleigh Moore each tallied multiple hits, while the team collected 13 hits overall. Woodington also showed patience at the plate, drawing seven walks. Sloan Cash and Philyaw led the way with two free passes each.

On the basepaths, the Raiders wreaked havoc, swiping 14 total bases. Howard, Moore, Bumgarner, McKinley Turner, and Philyaw all recorded multiple steals in the win. Defensively, Woodington was flawless, committing no errors. Moore led the team with seven fielding chances.

Dalila recorded the lone hit for CSS and also took the loss in the circle, giving up 13 hits and 17 runs—10 earned—over three innings, while striking out four.

Woodington is set to hit the road Thursday for a matchup against Frink.
