Hawks takedown the Rams 6-3 in tennis

North Lenoir's tennis team continued its impressive run this season, securing a 6-3 victory over Greene Central on Tuesday. The win extended the Hawks' record to 8-4 and marked their sixth victory in the last seven matches. Greene Central now stands at 8-6 overall and 7-1 in conference play.

"Our singles lineup played great today. We knew we'd have a tough challenge with GC. Their tradition and program speaks for itself. We knew we'd have to be very consistent and wait for our opportunities. Number 1 and 3 doubles played the best matches of the season today," said North Lenoir coach Scott Alston.

North Lenoir's Casey Alston, Josh Hardy, Maddox Smith, and Jared Carlyle all won the singles competition. Greene Central's William Drake and Nick Avent earned wins for their team. The doubles matches saw a strong performance from the North Lenoir pairs, with Williams-Alston and Smith-Carlyle securing victories, while Drake-Warrick claimed the only win for Greene Central.
