Undefeated South Lenoir defeats Kinston 11-0, Moves to 7-0

The South Lenoir Devils, now 7-0, lived up to their undefeated reputation by shutting out the Kinston team 11-0 in just one half of soccer today at Viking Stadium. South Lenoir's goals came from Michael Chavez (3), Bryan Mendoza (3), Jonathan Chavez (2), Brandon Ortiz (1), Bryant Navarro (1), and Rodrigo Aguirre (1). Ulises Calixtro and Emilio Salanes each contributed an assist.

After the game, South Lenoir coach Jody Turner immediately shifted his focus to their next conference game this Wednesday at Wallace-Rose Hill. Despite the Bulldogs' 4-3-1 record, they have faced a brutal schedule in preparation for conference play.

"These boys and South Lenoir soccer belong with the elite programs in this conference. We've taken the necessary steps to get here, and now it's up to the boys to believe what I know," Turner stated.

As South Lenoir travels to Wallace, the Kinston Vikings will head to Trenton for a rematch with Jones Senior.
