Support Stephanie Byrd: South Lenoir Fundraiser Game

Support Stephanie Byrd: South Lenoir Fundraiser Game

The South Lenoir community is coming together to support one of their own, Stephanie Byrd, in her courageous battle against cancer. This Friday, April 19, 2023, the SL Blue Devils will host a special event during their home game against East Duplin at South Lenoir High School, featuring delicious porkchop and chicken breast sandwiches. All proceeds from the sale will directly support Stephanie and her family during this challenging time.

Stephanie, a beloved wife, mother, and active community member, is currently facing her fourth battle with cancer. Despite the hardships, she continues to embrace life with positivity, driven by her deep faith and love for her family and church. Her husband, Chris Byrd, stands by her side, offering unwavering support throughout her journey. The local community admires Stephanie's resilience and unwavering spirit.

The event promises not only great food but also a chance to stand in solidarity with the Byrd family. Stephanie’s son, Braxton, a senior at South Lenoir, is gearing up for his future studies at UMO this fall, while her daughter Bailey, a cheerleader at Woodington, continues to inspire with her own strength.

For those who cannot attend but wish to contribute, donations can be made through Venmo to Pam Rhodes at Pam-Rhodes-17, or by reaching out to local organizers Brandi McDonald, Pam Rhodes, and Erica Miller.

Join us in showing that Stephanie Byrd is much more than her diagnosis – she is a vital part of the Blue Devil family. Let's come together to support Stephanie in her fight and show what community strength truly looks like.
