South Lenoir Takes Top Honors at Lenoir County Fair Cheerleading Competition

KINSTON, N.C.— South Lenoir High School clinched first place in the high school division at the 2024 Lenoir County Fair Cheerleading Competition held Tuesday night. The team also earned the best overall score award among all participating middle and high schools.

North Lenoir High School secured second place, while East Duplin High School finished third in the high school category.

In the middle school division, Contentnea-Savannah Middle School claimed first place. Woodington Middle School took second, and Frink Middle School placed third.

Last year, North Lenoir High School won the high school division, with Frink Middle School winning both the middle school division and the overall score award.

The cheerleading excitement continues as the Wayne County Fair Cheerleading Competition kicks off tomorrow, where the North Lenoir Hawks are the defending champions.
