South Lenoir senior forward Jacob Howard has been a standout for the Blue Devils, earning this week’s Athlete of the Week honors after an impressive week of performances. Howard scored 22, 17, and 14 points in games against East Duplin, North Lenoir, and Ashley High School, helping South Lenoir secure two key victories following a tough loss to East Duplin.

Operating primarily in the paint, Howard has dominated the boards, converting key putbacks to fuel the Blue Devils’ success. South Lenoir (7-8) is enjoying its best season since 2019-20 and looks to build on its momentum with at least seven games remaining.
