Nasheyla Mason, Kinston Freshman, Shines at Invite-Only Exposure Camp
Nasheyla Mason, a freshman basketball sensation at Kinston High School, is making waves in the world of women's basketball. After an outstanding year at Frink Middle School and a remarkable summer during the Kinston summer league, Mason's talent has not gone unnoticed.
Her recent invitation to the InsiderExposure Fall Showcase Camp in Greensboro, N.C., is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and passion for the game. This exclusive, invitation-only event is a one-of-a-kind experience, bringing together top high school and middle school players from across the nation.
"It felt good, and I felt honored to be invited to an exclusive exposure camp with girls that are as good and as passionate as I am about basketball," Mason said.
The camp, held on Saturday, August 19th, provided Mason with an opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. Conducted by one of the top trainers nationally, Kenny Carter, the camp included rigorous skills sessions, camp-style games, and interactions with D-1 and professional female basketball players.
"I learned different skills and techniques that would help me in the long run, and I learned how to be challenged by other girls that are as good as me. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I'm grateful for it," Mason explained.
The camp's reputation precedes itself, having sold out for four straight years. With attendees like Dan Olson, director of espnW Hoopgurlz, and Joe Fenelon of NYG Hoops & BlueStar Media, the InsiderExposure Fall Showcase Camp is a hub for scouts, media, and basketball enthusiasts.
Mason's invitation to this prestigious event is a clear indication of her potential and the bright future that lies ahead. Her performance at Frink Middle School and the Kinston summer league has set the stage for what promises to be an exciting high school career.
As Mason continues to grow and hone her skills, the local community and basketball fans alike will be watching her journey with great anticipation. Her story is not just one of talent and success but also of determination, humility, and a love for the game that transcends the court.
