The Lenoir Community College Lancers delivered a strong performance against the Catawba Valley Red Hawks on Saturday, securing a 97-73 victory in Hickory. Clarence Burton led the scoring with 24 points, significantly contributing to the team's win. Ray Mitchell and Jarius Northam each added 13 points, while Da Shaun Hooker and Tre Lewis scored 10 points each. Anthony Speight and Aidan Eller also contributed with 7 points apiece.
The Lancers' record now stands at 11-7 overall and 9-5 in conference play. In contrast, the Catawba Valley Red Hawks are at 6-11 overall and 5-8 in conference. The Lancers are set to face the Sandhills Community College Flyers in their next game on Wednesday.
