Lady Rams fall to Lady Bruins 52-33
The Lady Rams of Greene Central welcomed the Beddingfield Lady Bruins Tuesday evening. The outcome wasn't one that Rams faithful were hoping for as they saw the Lady Rams lose 52-33. The Lady Rams showed improvement in the second half but couldn't overcome the shaky first half.
Head Coach Tammy Elbert was very honest about her team'sperformance after the game. “I was highly disappointed at their effort in the first half. I need them to worry about bringing their own game and not worrying about the other team's game”,Coach Elbert said.
The Lady Rams were led in scoring tonight by #14 Azaria Mumford. Mumford recorded 8 points in the loss while #13 Sykiah Lancaster also scored 6 points. Coach Elbert will not want this loss to stay on her team's mind long, as the Lady Rams will travel up Highway 258 for a rematch with Kinston tomorrow evening.
“I want them to go in and execute the things we have been putting in at practice. If they can learn to carry over practice play to game play, it will make a big difference in their results”,Coach Elbert said about the rematch with Kinston.
The Lady Rams lost their first matchup with the Lady Viking'sby 9 points earlier this season. Coach Elbert and the Lady Rams will be looking for revenge tomorrow evening and a chance to get back in the winners column.
