Kinston, NC – The Kinston Wingmen, a collegiate summer wood bat baseball team based in Kinston, North Carolina, have embarked on their second season with high hopes and an optimistic start. After a balanced inaugural season in 2023, finishing with an 18-18 record, the Wingmen have shown promising form early in this campaign, currently holding a 3-2 record.
Last night's road game against the Jacksonville Ospreys ended in a narrow 7-6 defeat, but there were noteworthy performances despite the loss. Third baseman Cameron Turner went 1-5 with two RBIs, while Travis Ganache contributed with a 1-3 performance, driving in one run, scoring twice, and drawing a walk. Carter Starkweather also made an impact, going 1-2 with one run and two walks.

-Dawson Ables: The standout pitcher thus far, Ables, who recently finished his sophomore year at Lenoir Community College, has a perfect 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA over four innings, striking out eight.
