Jones Senior Makes Historic Win in First-Ever Hosted Soccer Game

TRENTON— It was a night for the history books at Jones Senior High School as they hosted their first-ever soccer game, delivering a resounding 9-0 victory over Kinston High School. The win was made even more memorable by the overwhelming fan support that filled the stands.

A Night to Remember

Matt Howell, the team's coach, couldn't contain his excitement over the turnout. "I have to say a big thank you to the number of people who came out to watch and support our team. It means a lot to me, the school, and the players to have cheering fans in the stands," Howell said.

Offensive Onslaught

Oliver Pfyl was the star of the night, showcasing his offensive prowess with four goals and three assists. Kevin Sanchez-Valdess also had a standout performance, contributing three goals and an assist. Erik Sanchez-Valdez added two more goals to the tally, while Malik Toutahs facilitated the offense with three assists.

Looking Ahead

Jones Senior doesn't have much time to bask in the glory of their historic win. They will be back in action tomorrow night, hosting a formidable 7-1 South Lenoir team. The match promises to be a challenging one, but if Jones Senior's inaugural game is any indication, they are more than up for the task.

For Jones Senior High School, this win is not just a mark on the scoreboard; it's a milestone in the school's athletic history, made all the more special by the community that came together to witness it.
