In a commanding victory over PS Jones, Greene County notched another win for the season, bringing their record to 2-1. The win showcased a plethora of big plays, notably on defense and special teams.
Mez Didley led the way with a crucial interception, while Motorro May and Lane Rouse each recovered fumbles. Samuel Lovitt contributed by forcing a fumble, exemplifying Greene County's defensive prowess. On the offensive side, Kaz'Zarey Farrior had a banner night, rushing for 200 yards and scoring four touchdowns.
Head Coach Jayme Tilley praised his team's performance, particularly after coming off a loss.
"We did a great job bouncing back this week," Tilley said. "I thought the defense and special teams did a fantastic job answering the challenge of playing at a higher, faster level with fewer mistakes. On offense, we played a little sloppy but once again put up big numbers."
Tilley added that the win provides a positive momentum swing as the team enters its bye week, ahead of its first conference game on October 5.
"It was a great game to go into our bye week with, giving us plenty to work on," he concluded.
