Greene Central to Hold Ring Ceremony for 2024 State Baseball Champions
Greene Central will celebrate its 2024 NCHSAA 2A Baseball State Championship on Friday night with a ring ceremony during halftime of the varsity football game against Beddingfield.
The Rams claimed their sixth state title with a 29-1 season, losing their only game in the regional finals against Whiteville in a best-of-three series. Greene Central then swept Burns High School from Lawndale to win the championship. In Game 1, the Rams shut out the Bulldogs, marking the first time Burns had been held scoreless in over two seasons.
The ring presentation will take place Friday, Sept. 6, at halftime.
