GC Middle School Wins "Go Hard or Go Home" Middle School Tournament
SNOW HILL, NC – In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, the Greene County Middle School Rams emerged as champions of the "Go Hard or Go Home" 2023 Middle School Holiday Tournament. This victory is big for bragging rights as middle school season are short lived and most schools face the same 4-5 schools every season.
Divided into the Rose Group and the Diamond Group, the tournament saw a fierce competition among notable schools. The Rams, placed in the elite Diamond Group, showed their mettle from the outset. Their journey to the top was marked by a blend of strategy and athletic brilliance.
In the semi-finals, the Rams faced off against Rochelle Middle, delivering a commanding performance with a 41-27 victory. This win set the stage for a thrilling final against Fayetteville's Alpha Academy. In a game that kept spectators on the edge of their seats, the Rams clinched the title with a 43-36 win, a testament to their unyielding spirit and skill.
The stars of the tournament were undoubtedly Kameron Tyson and Zion Bryant. Their exceptional play earned them the honor of being named Co-MVPs by their coach. Tyson's agility and Bryant's strategic plays were pivotal in securing the Rams' victories.
