The Frink Cavaliers made quick work of Bethel Christian Academy on Tuesday, cruising to a 10-0 win behind dominant pitching and aggressive baserunning.
An error put Frink on the board in the first inning, and a passed ball in the second extended the lead to 2-0. The Cavaliers exploded in the third inning, scoring five runs on two hits. Jesus Aguilar-Rubio singled to drive in a run, while Cole Singer and Connor Sutton each drew bases-loaded walks to bring in two more. Cooper Parks capped off the inning with a two-run single, pushing the lead to 7-0.
Lincoln Faulkner was lights out on the mound, throwing a one-hit shutout over five innings. He struck out eight batters and didn’t allow a single walk. Bethel Christian’s Brooks took the loss despite giving up just four hits and four unearned runs in two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.
Aguilar-Rubio led the Cavaliers’ offense, going 2-for-3 at the plate, while Singer showed patience at the plate, drawing two walks. As a team, Frink showed great discipline, working six walks in the game.
On the bases, the Cavaliers were relentless, swiping 14 stolen bases, with Mason Murphy, Singer, and Faulkner each recording multiple steals. The defense was just as sharp, turning a double play and committing zero errors, with Aguilar-Rubio leading the way with eight chances in the field.
Bethel Christian Academy’s Reid provided the team’s lone hit, going 1-for-2.
The Cavaliers will look to keep their momentum going as they continue their season.
