The 4th Annual Elite Specialty Hitting Camp at Lenoir Community College
Lenoir Community College will serve as the venue for the 4th Annual Elite Specialty Hitting Camp organized by Professional Baseball Skills Camp Inc. The event, scheduled for Friday, November 10, 2023, aligns with the observance of Veteran's Day.

Schedule:
Morning session: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Lunch break: 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM
Afternoon session: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Skill Training
Participants will benefit from 75 minutes of advanced instruction during the morning session. The camp will also feature a comprehensive six-hour hitting station schedule during both morning and afternoon sessions. Each session will have 20 stations, lasting 15 minutes each, focusing on advanced hitting drills. Extensive coach and pitching machine batting practice will also be part of the day's activities.
Lead Instructor
The camp will be led by Turtle Thomas, a name well-known in baseball circles. Thomas formerly served as the Roving Instructor in the Texas Rangers Minor League system and was part of the coaching staff that led teams to national championships in 1999 and 2000 at Miami and LSU. He has recruited and coached more than 70 current and former MLB players. Thomas holds an impressive record with 19 consecutive years of a top nine or better recruiting class, including four instances where his class was ranked No. 1, setting an NCAA record.
Local athletes from Lenoir, Greene, and Jones counties, including those from Jones Senior, Greene Central, Kinston High, South Lenoir, North Lenoir, Arendell Parrott Academy, and Bethel Christian Academy, are encouraged to participate and take their hitting skills to the next level.
