Bethel Christian Dominates in 7-2 Victory, Providing Alex Hill One Final Victory at Home

Bethel Christian Academy wrapped up their regular season with a strong 7-2 victory over Greenville Christian Academy.

The game was tightly contested early on, with both teams scoring a run each in the third inning. However, the Trojans took control in the middle innings, scoring two runs in the fourth and four in the fifth, demonstrating their offensive prowess as they prepare for postseason play.

In what was his last regular-season game for the Trojans, senior Alex Hill shone brightly. Hill went 2-for-2, scored a run, took two walks, and stole three bases. Reflecting on his goals for the season, Hill had shared, "To win games and develop my skill set whether it involves me taking over or being a role player some nights; I just want to see success in our athletic program at Bethel for my last year." His performance throughout the season, including a .358 batting average, 15 RBIs, three doubles, a home run, and 17 stolen bases, certainly highlighted his dedication to those goals.

Looking at his career totals, Hill has been a standout performer across his tenure at Bethel Christian Academy. Over 67 games, he has scored 87 runs, hit 46 times, collected 35 RBIs, and stolen 51 bases, alongside tallying five doubles, two triples, and a home run.

Junior Jonathan White led the hitting for the Trojans in this game, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs, scoring once, and adding a double and a stolen base. Sophomore Braden Cash also made significant contributions, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base.

Junior Cooper Williams started on the mound, pitching four strong innings while giving up only three hits and one run and striking out six batters. Sophomore Jamey Williams provided excellent relief, pitching three innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out five.

As Bethel Christian Academy heads into the NCCSA AA Tournament, they carry forward the momentum of winning 13 of their last 14 games. Their robust team dynamics and consistent performances across the board make them a formidable team in the upcoming postseason.

For Alex, job well done, kid. Ending the regular season with a 15-3 winning record and batting almost .360, you definitely stood on business this season. Salute!
