Coming off a stellar 21-6 record and a conference championship last year, the Kinston Vikings, under the seasoned leadership of Coach Perry Tyndall, look to build on their previous success. Despite the departure of influential seniors such as Horace Smith, Dominic Clark, Jaylen Cobb, and Mir Mir Moore, the Vikings are set to blend returning talent with fresh faces, aiming to replicate and surpass last season's achievements, which included winning the conference tournament and reaching the second round of the playoffs.

Coach Tyndall's Rich Coaching Experience

Coach Perry Tyndall, with an impressive 250-53 win-loss record, has been at the helm since 2013, bringing a wealth of experience and success, including three state championships. His coaching journey, extending over a decade, includes time as an assistant coach and head coach at Rochelle, showcasing his long-standing commitment and expertise in basketball coaching.

Fast-Paced and Aggressive The team is known for its uptempo, attacking style of play, a hallmark of Coach Tyndall's coaching philosophy, promising an exciting season ahead.

  • Senior Leadership: Marquez Graham, Khalil Sanders, Khalid Sanders, and TeCarlo Parker are expected to guide the team with their experience.

  • Defensive Focus: The Sanders twins and Parker will spearhead the team's defense.

“Our main goal is to improve daily, weekly, and monthly in order to reach this team’s full potential and play our best basketball late in the season,” coach Tyndall.
